The Fruitland Police Department is actively recruiting M.P.C.T.C Certified officers, as well as Non-Certified applicants interested in employment with a progressive, proactive law enforcement agency. Our department is working hard to meet the demands of rapid community growth. We are committed to providing our officers with the best equipment and training opportunities.

COMPENSATION

New recruits will receive $51,003 while attending the academy and will receive $52,023 upon successful completion of the academy. After two years and completing a probation period, officers will move to $58,189. Current estimates will increase an officers salary to $67,451 after 5 years of employment.

MPCTC certified officers range between $52,023 to 58,183 depending on experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be 21 years of age at the completion of training
Must have proof of graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D.
Must pass medical and mental health evaluations
Must pass a drug screening
Must pass an extensive background investigation
Must pass a polygraph or Voice Stress Analysis
Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing
