The Fruitland Police Department is actively recruiting M.P.C.T.C Certified officers, as well as Non-Certified applicants interested in employment with a progressive, proactive law enforcement agency.  Our department is working hard to meet the demands of rapid community growth. COMPENSATION

New recruits will receive $51,003 while attending the academy and will receive $52,023 upon successful completion of the academy. After two years and completing a probation period, officers will move to $58,189. Current estimates will increase an officers salary to $67,451 after 5 years of employment.

MPCTC certified officers range between $52,023 to 58,183 depending on experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be 21 years of age at the completion of training
  • Must have proof of graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. 
  • Must pass medical and mental health evaluations
  • Must pass a drug screening
  • Must pass an extensive background investigation
  • Must pass a polygraph or Voice Stress Analysis
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing
